Integrated PED
What it is
-
Enables a 1:1 environment where;

Every till has ePOS installed on it which connects to a Pin Entry Device (PED) for payment.
How it works
-
When a customer is ready to pay, the ePOS system passes the value of the transaction to be processed to the Payments API which resides on the ePOS till.

The Payments API relays the value and relevant information to the PED. The customer will then enter in their PIN details or tap their card for contactless payment on a Verifone V400 plus (integrated) device or a V400c Plus (semi-integrated) device

The PED will establish a secure and encrypted IP connection to Sage Pay to process the transaction

Once the transaction has been securely processed by Sage Pay, we will then communicate to the ePOS system to inform it if the transaction has been authorised or declined.

The ePOS system will complete the transaction and print the sales receipt if the transaction has been authorised.

Integrated Terminal
What it is

Enables a 1:many environment where;

ePOS software is installed once on a shared server which multiple tills can access.

The ePOS till connects to a portable card machine or fixed card terminal through IP or a serial connection.
How it works

When a customer is ready to pay, the ePOS system will pass the value of the transaction to be processed to the Payments API which sits on the terminal.

The customer will enter in their PIN details or tap their card for contactless payment on an Engage range terminal.

The terminal will establish a secure and encrypted IP connection to Sage Pay to process the transaction.

Once the transaction has been processed by Sage Pay, the terminal will print the card receipts indicating whether the transaction was authorised or not.

We will then communicate to the ePOS system letting it know if the transaction has been authorised or declined.

The ePOS system print the sales receipt if the transaction has been authorised and complete the transaction.
